INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION AND ITS PROBLEMS IN THE 21st CENTURY

In the 2024/2 issue of our journal, our Editorial Board aims to reveal international migration, which has gradually climbed to the top of state agendas, with an interdisciplinary understanding and all its aspects. Within this context, in the 2024/2 issue of our journal, migrations in the world and human rights problems arising thereof will be discussed. In the case of Türkiye, a country generally welcoming immigrants until the early 1960s, has become a source of immigrants as of 1961, coinciding with beginning of labor migration to Western Europe. Over time, it has come to a position where foreign immigrants transit, take refuge, or settle, even unaware of what these descriptions actually mean. Upon the emergence of the Arab Spring and the increasing propensity of skilled labor to migrate abroad for different reasons in recent years, Türkiye has become the focus of mass refugee flows. Within the framework of the mentioned topics, original and scientific studies that will contribute to the literature are expected.
Manuscripts for evaluation must be submitted through Dergi Park by July 1, 2024. Applicants shall be notified of the publication decision no later than August 2024. Aside from the core theme, our magazine also considers works in the relevant fields of political science, public administration, and international relations under the heading “Other Topics”.
